SCARPA

From SCARPA’s humble beginnings in northern Italy to their expansive current line of fine-tuned footwear for skiers, climbers, hikers, and runners, SCARPA has spent the last 80+ years dedicated to creating innovative and well-crafted mountain footwear. This dedication to innovation continues for 2024 with new variations of popular climbing and trail running shoes.

Ribelle Run 2

Men’s Ribelle Run 2

Women’s Ribelle Run 2

Taking both performance and comfort to the next level, the Ribelle Run 2 takes what made the original Ribelle Run a classic and makes it even better. New for the Ribelle Run 2 is the updated sock-fit liner, which now utilizes a knit construction instead of neoprene for increased breathability and comfort, and the Bounce Foam midsole. Bounce Foam is the same that’s used in the Golden Gate 2 ATR and provides excellent energy return and cushion. There are also additional heel pads in the Ribelle Run 2, that when combined with the updated last and fit profile delivers incredible heel hold and less pressure points.

Spin Ultra 2

Spin Ultra 2

A long-awaited update to the Spin Ultra, the Spin Ultra 2 is the ultimate mileage muncher. Whether you’re looking to tick off another ultramarathon or just need a comfortable shoe for long runs, the Spin Ultra 2 delivers. New for 2025, the Spin Ultra 2 adds a Supercrital TPEE Foam midsole that has longer lasting cushioning and rebound, making it the ideal construction method and material for a long distance shoe. With a new construction, the Spin Ultra 2 is also roughly 10% lighter than the original Spin Ultra (Men’s size 42) without sacrificing any of the durability it was known for.

Rush Pro 2

The Rush Pro 2 GTX brings running shoe comfort to trail-worthy support. The nubuck upper has a refined look that goes from trail to town, while waterproofing comes from Gore-Tex’s ePE membrane which delivers reliable performance, without the use of PFAS. A trail-running inspired outsole and last make the Rush Pro 2 a shoe that you can throw on and go, wherever the trail takes you.

Rapid XT and LT

Building off of the success of the original Rapid shoes, the new Rapid XT and LT carry on as a super versatile approach shoe, perfect for heavy loads, scrambling, and light trail running during fast and light missions. The XTs utilize a suede upper for extra durability and weatherproofing, while the LTs use a knit fabric upper that’s lighter and more breathable than the suede alternative. Both Rapids use a Vibram Megagrip outsole for traction, and feature a “climbing zone”, a flat portion of the outsole underneath the toes for better grip and sensitivity while scrambling.

Osprey

Almost 50 years of dedication to fit and function have led to new innovations for Osprey in 2024. Fast and Light is the theme of the season, with new Talon and Tempest options, including expanding the Pro line, and a new set of bikepacking-specific bags for a new way to get into the backcountry.

Talon Tempest

Refreshed and refined for 2025, the updated Talon and Tempest packs from Osprey continue to be the most versatile technical packs on the market. The biggest improvement is the new sliding yoke for fit adjustment. This technology, carried over from the Talon and Tempest Pro, gives each pack a wider range of torso adjustment, making it so most packs can have just one size and still fit the same range of bodies. In addition to improved fitting for every pack, the 6L, 22L, and 33L volumes now also get Extended Fit sizing, making it easier to get your perfect pack no matter what.

Transporter

The Transporter series has long been Osprey’s flagship travel line for those who favor durability and simplicity in their gear. For 2025, Osprey has once again raised the bar for what a travel bag can be, by retaining the long-lasting construction and weatherproofing, while making the Transporter series lighter and more environmentally friendly. The all-new NanoTough fabric makes the new Transporter series the lightest, most abrasion-resistant, and most weatherproof series of gear haulers on the market. This updated fabric has also helped make the entire line Bluesign Products, taking them a step above just using Bluesign-approved materials.

2025 has brought more than just a new fabric to the Transporter line, it also includes new silhouettes in the Gear Tote, Squffel, Sling, and Zinch. The new Transporter Gear Tote is available in 60L and 28L and is designed to make moving gear as easy as possible, whether that’s a family headed to the ski hill, meeting at the crag, or heading to the weekly bike ride. The Gear Totes have an external zip pocket for quick stash items like phones and wallets, corner loops on the interior and exterior for clipping climbing shoes or other light accessories, and an internal mesh pocket with a bottle slot that makes it easy to keep small items organized. The 60L Tote also has a removable bottom that does double-duty as a changing mat to keep your feet clean and dry while you change out of bike shoes or ski boots. The Transporter Squffel (a portmanteau of ‘Square Split Duffel’) is also a new addition that helps make traveling with gear easier than ever. The square shape makes packing and stowing incredibly efficient, while the split design makes it easy to organize clean v. dirty clothes, clothes v. gear, or wet v. dry. There’s another trick up the Squffel’s sleeve that allows you to open just the top of the duffel, leaving the dividers unzipped, and reaching all the way through to items stored in the bottom.

Two new ‘backpacks’ to the Transporter line are the Sling and Zinch. The Transporter Sling is bigger than most sling bags on the market, and features a laptop sleeve that holds most 14” laptops, plenty of internal organization, and an AirScape backpanel for support and breathability. The Transporter Zinch (Zip Cinch) Pack utilizes an simple zip closure, combined with a roll top, to cinch down easily or give more space depending on what you need to carry for the day. The Zinch also uses zippered side pockets for water bottles, has a laptop sleeve that holds up to 16” laptops, and uses an AirScape backpanel.

Raptor Raven

Built for riders putting big miles in the saddle, the Raptor and Raven series has everything you need. Refreshed for 2025, they have new fabrics and design language, while optimizing the existing features that made it a best seller in the first place. An updated LidLock system fits more helmets than ever before, including ski and climbing helmets for multisport adventures while the updated waist belt and backpanel shapes make the pack even more secure and stable when loaded with gear.

All new for this year are the Raptor and Raven Jr and 4 liter packs. The Raptor and Raven Jr are fully-featured packs, just kid sized! Just because they’re young doesn’t mean kids don’t deserve a pack that fits comfortably and can carry essential tools and water for after-school rides. The Raptor and Raven 4 are welcome additions as well, featuring a 1.5L Hydraulics reservoir, dual side pockets, and even still a LidLock attachment.

Escapist Velocity

Escapist Velocity 6L

Escapist Velocity 3L

Expanding on the well-received Escapist bikepacking bags, the Escapist Velocity is the ultimate ride companion. Designed in conjunction with Osprey’s gravel athletes that were custom tailoring the Duro/Dyna trail running vests to fit their needs on the bike better. The vest-style fit keeps the pack stable, whether that’s descending chunky gravel roads or during your local enduro race, and has stretch mesh pockets for easy access to gels and snacks, as well as zip pockets for a phone. The harness even has dual sided sunglasses docks, perfect for endurance races that might start or end in the dark. Both sizes of pack also include a 1.5L Hydraulics reservoir for easy hydration on the bike.

The Escapist Velocity 6L has a dedicated hydration pocket, storage pocket, and a dedicated tool pocket with removable roll for easy organization for everything on your ride. It also has 2 additional mesh harness pockets and a LidLock helmet carrier on the back. The 3 Liter size has one dedicated back pocket, that uses a hydration sleeve and stretch organizers for tools. The stretch bungee on the outside holds light jackets or kneepads for the descent.

Therm-a-Rest

Continuing their mission to bring the best in clean drinking water to the backcountry, Platypus has expanded their award-winning QuickDraw series and created a new in-bottle filter for more casual hikers.

NeoLoft

Designed to bring the comfort of car camping pads to the backcountry, the new Therm-a-Rest NeoLoft is the ultimate combination of technology and comfort. Built to backpack, the Regular Wide NeoLoft weighs just 30 oz and packs down to approximately the size of a one liter water bottle, yet is 4.6 inches thick and has a stretch knit top fabric that is as comfortable as your favorite baselayer.

Boost

In their quest to bring comfort to the backcountry, Therm-a-Rest’s designers asked themselves “what’s the most comfortable pad on the market without a comfortable sleeping bag?” Enter the Boost. Built for comfort, small and light enough for backpacking, the Boost delivers no matter what comfort means to you. Run hot? Open the WarmZip, the arm holes, or the double-ended side zip to vent heat. Run cold? Baton down the hatches and get an extra 10 degrees of warmth. Whether you like more room to toss and turn, want to read on cold nights, or just want one bag that does it all, the Boost sleeping bags are the perfect backcountry companion.

MSR

At MSR, unruly dreaming means being getting into nature how you want, when you want. To help more people reach their goals, MSR has introduced their first bikepacking tent and redesigned their legendary titanium cookware.

Hubba Hubba LT

The next generation of Hubba Hubba, the Hubba Hubba LT takes comfort, convenience, and sustainability to the next level. While retaining mostly the same shape, additional mesh on the top of the body, with more solid fabric on the bottom, lets the tent sleep slightly cooler and vent better than the previous version, all while being suitable for 3-season adventures. All of the fabric and mesh in the Hubba Hubba LT is solution-dyed, a process that reduces the water and energy used in the production and reduces emissions by 80%, all while remaining color true and durable. An updated geometry also makes the tent body sidewalls more vertical than the previous version, accommodating even taller rectangular pads, like the Therm-a-Rest NeoLoft, side by side without touching the tent wall.

SWITCH

The bridge between the flexibility of the MSR PocketRocket stoves and the simplicity and performance of the WindBurner is the all-new Switch. Sold as a kit, with stove, support, and pot all included, the Switch removes the traditional headache of system stoves and allows you to use nearly any pot and pan you’d like. When using as a system, the Switch Pot sits on the ring of the stove and uses it’s hemispherical bottom to burn more efficiently and produce less carbon monoxide than the competition. The Switch also uses a built-in piezo ignitor and pressure regulator to ensure consistent performance at altitude or with low fuel.

To use the Switch with other pots and pans, simply flip the arms out and use whatever flat-bottomed pan you’d like. While boil and cook times will vary from pot to pot, nothing beats the flexibility of being able to use different cookware for different scenarios, say groups or solo camping. For safety, MSR recommends not using pots over 8 inches in diameter or exceeding 8 pounds (approximately 1 gallon of water).

Norrøna

Norrøna’s wide range of climbing, touring, skiing, and mountain biking apparel is expanding again in 2024, with a large redesign for the skibotn bike collection and the introduction of the multifunctional femund line.

Skibotn Women’s

New to the skibotn collection from Norrøna are women’s-specific silhouettes in the two most popular styles, the flex1 longsleeve shirt and the flex1 pant. Available in multiple colors, these new additions take the skibotn line from unisex to truly built for purpose.

fjora

Additions to the most broad bike line are also on deck for this year, with the fjora collection adding a new short, new pant, and updating their classic jerseys. The new Flex1 Tech Short and Pant are simple and understated with everything a mountain biker needs. Plenty of stretch, a looser fit, and plenty of room for kneepads, these bottoms are built to be every bikers daily drivers. The updated equaliser lightweight jerseys use an new fabric composition to be softer on the skin and more comfortable over long days in the saddle, while they also offer a refined shape for different body positions on the bike.

Femund

After a successful first year, Norrøna’s femund collection has continued to grow. Designed to be as functional in town as it is on the trail, the femund family includes everything from lightweight shorts and skirts, to versatile midlayers, to heavyweight sweatshirts and hoodies.
