Osprey Pro Series | Product Overview

Overview

Osprey has always been about providing people with the packs they need to excel at what they love, whether they’re just beginning their journey or they’ve garnered countless miles of experience behind them. The Pro Series of packs delivers for those who demand the most from their gear. Guides, veteran thru-hikers, and skilled enthusiasts all rely on their gear to help elevate their adventures, and the Pro Series delivers.

The Pro Series takes classic Osprey packs and silhouettes and brings the innovation to 11. All Pro packs will incorporate lighter weight fabrics than their standard versions, while still being incredibly durable. Most Pro packs are also able to carry more weight than the regular version, with the exception being the Exos/Eja Pros. They also all carry additional features, whether that is to allow the pack to be more customizable, safer for the user, or even more comfortable to carry.

Aether/Ariel Pro

Designed to carry more with minimal weight, the Aether and Ariel Pro are perfect for guides, backpackers, and mountaineers who need a pack that’s capable of carrying heavy loads for multi-day expeditions. They are made with Osprey’s innovative NanoFly fabric to reduce the weight of the pack, while also using the heaviest-duty suspension system. This setup makes sure most of the weight you are carrying is your gear, not your pack itself. The Aether/Ariel Pro are also designed to be more customizable. They incorporate a strippable design, making the top lid, hipbelt pockets, and side compression straps all removable, so you can customize your pack to match your adventure.

Talon/Tempest Pro

Iterating on Osprey’s classic multisport packs is no easy feat, yet the Talon and Tempest Pro take innovation and comfort to the next level. The Talon/Tempest Pro utilize a stiffer frame sheet than the standard options, allowing them to carry heavier loads more comfortably. Additionally they include a different torso adjustment system that has a wider range and provides a more comfortable fit for more body shapes. With these two updates, carrying a whole trad rack, food, and layers in a single pack has never been more comfortable. There is also an updated LidLock that is lower profile and attaches to more helmets, making it easier to carry ski, bike, or climbing helmets.

Exos/Eja Pro

For the ultralight purists, the best way to get your base weight down is with the Exos and Eja Pro. Upgraded with the lightweight and durable NanoFly fabric, the Exos and Ejs Pros weigh less than the standard 38-liter Exos and Eja. Despite the low weight, the Pro packs don’t compromise on comfort as they still come equipped the legendary AirSpeed suspension system for unmatched support and fit. To shed even more weight and to make it yours, the Exos and Eja Pro include strippable top lid and side compression straps.

RAPTOR PRO

Built for durability and protection in bike parks, the Raptor Pro is the most durable pack in the Raptor/Raven family. The Raptor Pro features a D3O® BP4 Full Back CE Level 1 Protector that helps absorb impacts in the event of a crash, which can be extremely important for enduro racers and bike park season pass holders. In the event of a crash, it also features a reinforced front shield with side compression straps that can carry a full face helmet.

SOELDEN/SOPRIS PRO

If you spend time in the mountains in the winter, you know how unpredictable they can be. The Soelden and Sopris Pro help stack the deck in your favor with the inclusion of the Alpride E2 Airbag system. An electronic system, the Alpride E2 is lighter weight than comparable canister systems and is significantly easier to travel with. The E2 system packs smaller, is lighter, and has a 12 liter larger airbag than the E1 system. To round out the kit, the Soelden and Sopris Pro packs also include dedicated radio harnesses with mic attachment on the harness.
