New Gear | SCARPA TX Pro | Fall 2024

“Why make a new tele boot?” is a fair question in this day and age, when telemark is as small as it’s ever been. As an original telemark brand, SCARPA has an ongoing commitment to tele skiers and the community to create products that meet their needs. That’s where the new TX Pro comes in. The result of years of testing and listening to the telemark community, the TX Pro is the most innovative, lightweight, and efficient tele boot ever made.

Taking inspiration from years of touring boot innovation and design, SCARPA has created a boot that walks, skis, and fits better than its predecessor. Utilizing the same ski/hike mechanism as the Maestrale/Gea boots, the TX Pro has bumped up the range of motion from 22-degrees to a whopping 62-degrees, while also utilizing the same HRS strap for a more positive heel hold while skiing. The TX Pros now also use elastic Booster straps that are quick to tighten and loosen while also boosting downhill performance. The new TX Pro is also the lightest tele boot on the market, at 1545g for the men’s and 1360g for the women’s version.

With a new boot, also comes a focus on longevity and repair. The TX Pro now also includes a replaceable bash guard on the interior portion of the foot to help protect the tongue of the boot from ski edges, while also having an easily replaceable tongue. The HRS Strap is also replaceable in case of damage over time. A Vibram EVO outsole boosts traction in icy and wet conditions, while also being resoleable.
