SCARPA Ski Boots for 2024-25
From SCARPA’s humble beginnings in northern Italy to their expansive current line of fine-tuned footwear for skiers, climbers, hikers and runners, SCARPA has spent the last 80+ years dedicated to creating innovative and well-crafted mountain footwear. This dedication to innovation continues for the 2024-25 ski season, with the creation of the TX Pro, the best tele boot ever made.
Telemark Boots
After years of research, testing and listening to the telemark community, SCARPA is proud to introduce the most innovative, lightest-weight, and efficient telemark boot ever created. The new TX Pro is the result of SCARPA's long-standing commitment to free-heel skiing.

Compared to the previous TX Pro, the new version essentially shares a name. The new TX Pro borrows 15 years of technological advancement from across the the SCARPA ski boot line to bring it into the next generation. Updating the buckle layout to three buckles plus a Booster powerstrap saves weight, while preserving skiability. An updated shell moves from traditional plastic to Pebax RNew to both be better for the environment while also providing a more progressive flex characteristic. The shell also has an updated last and fit to provide more comfort and better heel hold. To learn about all the new features of the TX Pro, check out our in-depth write-up.
Alpine AT Boots
Designed in conjunction with ski racing icon Bode Miller, the 4-Quattro ski boots are the lightest ski boots in their class. They are designed to combine power, precision, and sustainability to be the perfect ski boots, both on and off-piste.
Compared to the Maestrale and Gea series of boots, the 4-Quattros have a much lower instep height, closer to that of a traditional overlap boot, while maintaining the progressive flex of a 3-piece boot. This is due to the unique Alpine Axial Hybrid construction that attaches the ladders farther down the medial side of the boot to provide a more adjustable fit and volume that works for most foot shapes. The 4-Quattro series also features a lower stand height than the Maestrale and Gea series, lowering the skier’s center of gravity and providing a more connected feeling to the ski.
New to the 4-Quattro family for 2024 is the 4-Quattro Pro. This boot brings burly performance for the hardest chargers on the mountain. It utilizes a new Secure Speed Lock 4 to provide an even better connection between the cuff and shell, while still offering a 60-degree range of motion. The Pro also has a built-up cuff to provide even more power transmission and stiffness, garnering a 130+ flex rating.

All boots in the 4-Quattro series feature plant-based shells and cuffs that are created from Castor beans to help reduce the amount of carbon released in the production process. The 4-Quattros also feature an incredibly progressive flex that allows the boot to easily absorb small bumps while still providing plenty of pushback when sinking into groomer carves or large compressions in the backcountry. Carbon-infused Grilamid inserts supply torsional stiffness, which makes edge-to-edge transitions snappy and intuitive. The 4-Quattro XT and SL also utilize the standard Speed Lock 4 levers that are easy to work with gloves or mittens on and provide a 61-degree range of motion, allowing long, efficient strides in the backcountry or the parking lot. Combined with GripWalk-norm Presa outsoles, walking in ski boots has never been easier.

4-Quattro XT
The 4-Quattro XT features a Grilamid Bio shell with an additional carbon insert in the cuff to create a stiffer flexing boot with a minimal weight penalty. It also includes an elastic Booster Strap to absorb small bumps while delivering excellent forward power transmission.
4-Quattro SL
The 4-Quattro SL is made instead with a Pebax R-New shell and single carbon insert in the shell to create a high-performing boot in a 120-flex package. It also includes a traditional Finger Strap powerstrap.
Alpine Touring Boots
Headlining the Alpine Touring collection are the tried-and-true Maestrale and Women’s Gea series. Updated for 2023-2024, they have a completely redesigned shell that improves fit, shaves weight, and keeps a premium on skiing performance. For all Meastrale and Gea boots, they have removed the Lambda Frame that had been a staple and replaced it with a Carbon Core Insert, similar to what is seen in the Quattro series to reduce the weight yet keep exceptional torsional rigidity and downhill performance. They also adjusted the shape of the shell, moving from a 101mm to 102mm last, and changing where the widest point of the boot is. So not only are the new Maestrale and Geas wider, that width is better placed to accommodate the “sixth toe” ensuring a better fit for more skiers.
Along with shell updates, the Maestrale and Gea also have updated powerstraps, boot soles, HRS straps, liners, and ski/walk mechanisms. All these updates have led to a more refined and the best Maestrale and Gea ever. To see all the in-depth updates, check out our write-up here.
