Meet Summit Sales' Newest Team Member - Olivia Leader

We are excited welcome Olivia aboard as our new marketing and events coordinator. She brings a wealth of knowledge and enthusiasm that will be a huge asset to our team and our retail partners. Get to know Olivia a little bit better in the interview below.

Where are you from?  Redmond, WA

What were you doing prior to joining Summit Sales?

I just wrapped up my degree, studying Business and Sustainability in Bellingham. This past season, I was over on evo's customer care team. We helped get folks outdoors in a variety of ways, whether that was serving as a shopping assistant for a new pair of skis or tackling shipping issues.

Outside of work, what is your activity of choice?

I pride myself in being a generalist, meaning I always have something to do! You can primarily find me skiing, hiking, climbing, or biking. When I'm not doing those things, I also spend a lot of time cooking as well as volunteering with my local search and rescue group.

Favorite snack to eat while playing in the outdoors?

Jelly beans! There are so many flavors, it's hard to really get tired of them. I like to start by eating out all the worst flavors at the beginning of a trips, so by the end when I’m dragging my feet, I have all the best to choose from for a pick me up. I also love experimenting in the kitchen, so I often have some attempt at a "protein cookie" on hand too for some more sustained fuel.

Any upcoming adventures?

I've been eyeing Azurite Peak for a while. I just really enjoy the whole region and want to spend more time back there. It has been one that keeps coming up in conversation, now it's just a matter of waiting for snow to melt up there. In the meantime, I'll be on my mountain bike and getting out a bit more locally!
